After the first shot until Zinio, you are presented with the "Get Started" screen that acts as a primer for the app's three main areas:. "Featured," "Library," and "Shop" "seed" allows you to read some articles that stand out from Zinio's most popular magazine, "Library" allows you to download, read, and manage the magazine: "Shop" allows you to buy a single issue or subscription.
My first order of business is to get an example of what is offered by Zinio, so I knocked on the Feature icon. This latest launch Bloomberg Businessweek, featuring Donald Trump on the cover. When I'm in the mood for a larger topic, I see another magazine-choice (by swiping from right to left) until I reached the Harvard Business Review "The problem of failure." Tapping over the thumbnail to open strip at the bottom of the screen that lets me jump from page to page. There are seven pages for free for me to read.
A grid icon at the top-center of the screen, when tapped, lets me see all the magazine covers as thumbnails. Preferences and Help icons stay in the top right of the screen, which let me play around with options and dive learn more about the application.
Take a trip to the store lets you buy a problem. As traditional print magazine, there is big money to be saved vs. buying single issues subscribe. For example, a recent Rolling Stone
Should You Download Zinio?
If you are interested in magazines, Zinio is an excellent application to purchase and store your favorite issues. When they are all digital and live in your iPad, you can tote around a whole library-something that will require Herculean strength to the printed publication. There are some minor issues require scrolling multiple-spread and you can not pinch zoom while in text mode but no brainer download it for fans of the magazine.
